Terms & Conditions overview
The signed rental agreement and confirmed quotation govern every rental and take precedence.
Availability and vehicle group
Vehicles and groups are subject to branch, date, and time availability. Model names are indicative unless a specific vehicle is confirmed in writing; a comparable or upgraded vehicle may be offered by agreement.
Rental period, mileage, and extensions
The confirmed rental period, included mileage, excess-kilometre charge, and any extension pricing are governed by the quotation and rental agreement. Extensions require approval before the scheduled return time.
Insurance and SCDW
Standard insurance, renter liability, excess, and optional SCDW are governed by the rental agreement. SCDW is not automatic and remains subject to eligibility, exclusions, reporting duties, and applicable liability.
Eligibility, documents, and permitted use
Each approved driver must meet Budget eligibility requirements and provide valid identification, an accepted driving licence, required travel or residency documents, and an accepted payment method. Only authorized drivers may use the vehicle.
Payment, fines, condition, and return
Confirmed rental charges, deposits, fuel, damage, extensions, fines, and other approved amounts follow the signed agreement. The vehicle, keys, documents, and accessories must be returned as agreed, subject to fair wear.
